A sneak peek of the book I'm currently writing! This is the first chapter after the prologue. This book, which you'll see as you begin to read, is about a 23-year-old girl named Mel who is possessed by a demon. She's been possessed for most of her life and so, in order to deal with it, she uses her demonic powers as a sort of vigilante--ridding her town of the scum that lives there. I picked this chapter because I think it really gives you an idea of who Mel is as a character and the quote "relationship" she has with the demon that is possessing her. J.R. LAWSON is a self-published author of two novels so far for young adults. Among are, Forget Me Notāa lovable zombie romance, and Blood Landāa vampire adventure story. She says āAs long as Iāve been enjoying making up stories (which is quite a long time) Iāve also enjoyed the spooky and supernatural. Iāve always been a fan of the classic movie monsters and love re-imagining them in unique ways and putting them in different situations. I have notebooks of ghost stories I used to write when I was in middle school that I go back to still from time to time. Iāve always loved writing and imagining but I started my first book in high school and finished it during college.
